Globalism and its cultural influences are now intrinsic to the artistic lexicon, hence our title "The Cultural Pavlova", developed as a New Zealand version of a French Meringue, topped with fruits of all colours, tastes and shapes, ergo a macedoine, French for fruit salad or code for the Mix. We intend to explore how that layering from a homogenous base grows, constantly changing with certain connecting threads detaining to cultural values. With the influence of globalisation will the arts be able to withstand the all-emcompassing mono-culture and respond directly to an experience?
