Everything Beautiful about Writing

Simmone Howell

Woodend Library, for young people aged 11+

Saturday 6 June at 10.30 AM

FREE ENTRY

Simmone will talk writing and read from her books Notes from the Teenage Underground and Everything Beautiful, and if she is feeling brave, she may even tell you her terminal tales of teenage trauma, which include embarrassing letters to pop stars circa 1986. There will also be a Q&A.

Simmone Howell is a writer, book collector and rampant op-shopper. Her first novel Notes from the Teenage Underground won the 2007 Premier's Prize for Young Adult fiction and the inaugural Gold Inky Award. Her second novel Everything Beautiful has just been published in Australia, UK and the US. The Age called it: 'sassy, moving, and hilarious.' Simmone lives in Castlemaine and writes even when the muse forgets to show up.
