Now in its 8th year the Woodend Winter Arts Festival will again host a series of the world’s best names in music and a packed literary and visual arts program.

More than 30 events are currently in the preliminary program - the full program will be available from 26 March, when bookings will open.

Thousands of festival visitors from the region, Melbourne and suburbs, interstate and overseas will converge on Woodend to triple the town's population to experience the quality the festival is known for.   

We can promise that this year’s musical program will include leading names of Australian jazz, guitar and piano and performances of Vivaldi, Schubert and Haydn. There will be solo performances, chamber recitals and small orchestral concerts in beautiful settings in and around Woodend and the Macedon Ranges.

The literary program will include some of Australia’s most interesting and provocative authors and commentators – including a pub ‘yarn’ event, while the visual arts will include pottery, book illustration and a leading Australia comic and graphic artist.
