Composer and jazz pianist Joe Chindamo draws from a dazzlingly wide range of musical inspiration to create his own musical view of the world. Ever present in the Chindamo repertoire, will be his reworkings of standards of Gershwin, Porter, Kern et al and more modern composers such as Paul Simon, Burt Bacharach and Joni Mitchell. For his Woodend concert, he and his trio will also perform a selection from his new Puccini Aria recording (due for release later this year) and a few of his own compositions, one which was composed especially for his inaugural appearance at this festival.
