Sophie Cunningham’s first novel, Geography, was published by
Text in 2004, and her second novel, Bird, in June 2008. She has
worked, variously, as an editor, publisher and journalist since 1989.
She is currently the editor of Meanjin. In this session the discussion
will focus on Sophie’s new novel Bird.

Sophie Cunningham
Mary Delahunty is an award winning journalist, former international
reporter and television presenter with ABC News, 7.30 Report and Four
Corners. Mary recently retired from politics after serving in the
Victorian government as Minister for Education, Planning, Women’s
Affairs and the Arts. She is a former Governor of the Dromkeen
Children’s Literature Collection, and has recently established an
Artist’s Retreat here in the Macedon Ranges.
