This program celebrates Olivier Messiaen, commonly regarded as the greatest composer of the 20th century, in the centennial year of his birth.

 

Michael Kieran Harvey, who has achieved fame internationally as a foremost interpreter of Messiaen, complements the four Etudes de rythme and excerpts from the Catalogue d’oiseaux with Australian composer Carl Vine’s Sonata no. 2. Giovanni Battista Pergolesi Sara Macliver, Sally-Anne Russell & Accademia Arcadia.
